Reset, restart, refocus as many times as you want to.
Create your own adventure today!
Sounds like Monday’s problem!
I have a bit of a dark chocolate habit, and I’ve found that Dove Chocolate (not sponsored, but Dove, I’m open to it) are the best for scratching that daily itch. It’s become a bit of a ritual for me, especially after I realized that the candies come with short inspirational sayings inside the wrappers, such as the ones above.
Some are super cheesy, some are silly and some are just a little too relentlessly positive for me. But some, for whatever reason, just hit right in the moment.
Sometimes it does take resetting, restarting and refocusing on a project to get it right. (Of course, as a journalist and writer, I feel obliged to say that deadlines don’t always allow for too many do-overs.)
Sometimes the best part of my work is creating a new adventure for me, my clients and readers as I research story ideas and content strategy.
And, let’s face it, sometimes it’s Friday afternoon, and the best advice is simply to call it a week. The rest can wait until Monday.
Of course, a small piece of dark chocolate and inspirational candy wrappers only go so far. My real inspiration comes from a small group of senior writer friends I lean on. We help each other get unstuck and celebrate the wins.
That same spirits shows up in the work we do with clients. Writing always gets better with fresh perspectives, collaboration and, sometimes, the unexpected like a little inspiration tucked inside a candy wrapper.
